Main location
Southern Sweden Design Days has a 'Main location' – Lokstallarna in Kirseberg, Malmö.
Lokstallarna's 6,000 sqm will host exhibitions featuring a vibrant mix of individual practitioners, design collectives, furniture manufacturers, universities, and other industry players. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a food workshop, activities for children, and a live studio with seminars, panel discussions, and workshops. The main location is a popular venue during the festival, attracting around 10,000 visitors over the four festival days.

Formats for participation
Exhibition
At the Main location, larger exhibitions will be shown with a clear connection to this year's theme. The exhibitions are selected by a panel. There are three types of exhibition space - Corridor, podium and outdoor exhibition space. This year we also introduce the possibility to apply to exhibit on a smaller area of a podium (10 m2).

SSDD Studio
Host a panel discussion, seminar, or workshop in the SSDD Studio, live in front of an audience at Lokstallarna during the festival days.
SSDD Junior
Apply to host a workshop in SSDD Junior, Southern Sweden Design Days' concept aimed at children and youth, designed to spark interest in design and stimulate creative expression. At Lokstallarna, there will be a creative drop-in workshop area for children with various activities.

Step 1: Application SSDD 2025
Submit your program activity to Southern Sweden Design Days by 15 January, 2025. Indicate your interest in exhibiting at the Main Location in your registration. Please note that this is only an expression of interest for the Main Location; to complete your application, proceed to Step 2.

In a separate form, apply to exhibit at the Main Location by 15 January, 2025. Selected exhibitions will be announced on 5 February 2025. If your exhibition is not selected, we recommend finding another location for your exhibition. If you cannot find another location, it is possible to cancel your program item and thus no registration fee will be charged.
